REDWOOD CITY, Calif., - July 10, 1996 - The 3DO Company (NASDAQ: THDO) today announced that it has acquired the assets of New World Computing from NTN Communications (AMEX: NTN) for approximately $13 million consisting of 3DO common stock and the assumption of certain liabilities. The purchase price will be guaranteed by The 3DO Company. The acquisition is expected to give 3DO access to more than three million gamers, strengthen the company's expertise in the role-playing and strategy game genres, and add capabilities to its Internet efforts.
