State-of-the-art 3D Character-Based Action Game Available on PC CD-ROM in May

Menlo Park, CA -- Game enthusiasts can now jump into the commotion, chaos and challenge of the fast-paced 3D character-based action game, Pandemonium! on PC CD-ROM from leading game publisher Crystal Dynamics. First introduced to the gaming market for the Sony PlayStation, Pandemonium! was proclaimed among MTV's "Top 100 Video Games of 1996". The PC CD-ROM version, which supports Windows 95, the Pentium processor and 3Dfx Interactive technology, will be available in May.

Pandemonium! features the acrobatic team of the two main characters, Nikki and Fargus. Nikki is a wizard's protege with amazing double-jump and somersaulting abilities that propel her to different platforms while avoiding treacherous obstacles in her path; Fargus is a jester with an unusual spinning attack move that enables him to eliminate his enemies. Together, Nikki, Fargus, and his sidekick Sid (a demented puppet-on-a- stick) create total Pandemonium!

Playing a lead role in Pandemonium!, Nikki is one of the most prominent female characters in an action game. With her strong athletic ability, magical talents and competitive nature, she is appealing to both male and female game players.

Crystal Dynamics' proprietary "Freestyle 3D Camera Technology" enables players to experience Pandemonium! in dramatic 3D worlds. This technology provides fluid and dynamic perspectives that create the ultimate cinematic gaming experience. Along the way, players encounter rich texture mapped graphics with fully rendered 3D objects in a variety of luscious environments including a magical citadel, spider web infested caverns, dense mushroom forests and plenty of hidden areas. The dynamic duo have shape-changing talents enabling them to morph into different forms, each with distinct characteristics including a bulldozing rhino, a high jumping frog, and a fire-breathing dragon.

Crystal Dynamics, a newly formed entertainment Software Studio, was the first to develop and public a 32-bit video game in 1993. Their flagship product GEX, the first character based action game for the 32-bit home console, brought a new dimension to the game play experience using comedic voice-over talent and a hilarious script to bring a wise-cracking persona to life. Crystal Dynamics' designers, programmers and artists continue to set the pace for the next generation gaming experience with the innovation and playability experienced in state-of-the-art video games like Pandemonium! and blood Omen: Legacy of Kain.
