For the more experienced players, Bridge Deluxe II offers such strategy options as Blackwood, Gerber, and forced slam bids and gives the beginner the opportunity to practice his strategy with the take-back and review options. Both the beginner and the advanced player will appreciate the save-and-load hand feature in which a player can replay a game allowing him or her to review their strategy in step-by-step fashion.
"This new version for Windows 95 will still offer a dynamic for every player, from the beginner to the advanced player," said producer Brian Christian. "This updated version has been designed to work in the windows environment and we feel that will attract the attention of gamers who have been waiting for a bridge game that they can play on the new computers that use Windows 95," said Christian.
The on-disk tutorial featuring Sharif was developed with Dr. Tony Sowter, an internationally recognized expert on the game, and is designed to introduce players with the various techniques used in Bridge Deluxe II.
Also for the beginner, an on-disk glossary of bridge playing terms, instructions for scoring the rubber, a bibliography of recommended reading to improve the player's game and a comprehensive guide to bidding all work to help improve the new player's skill level. For the player without a lot of time, there are quick reference guides on how to bid and score the game as well.
Included with the new windows environment, the game displays in the highest-quality SVGA, uses exceptional full motion video and shows stunning photographic backdrops of Sharif's native Paris, France. The unique subdued highlighting technique allows the player to concentrate on the hand in play without the distraction of computer tasks.
