GT Value Division Maintains Number One Market Share for Second Consecutive Month

Minneapolis, MN, April 8, 1998 -- On the heels of capturing the number one position in January, GT Value Product's Deer Hunter software title continues to be the best-selling PC game in the country for February, according to PC Data. Priced at $19.99 and marketed under the WizardWorks brand, approximately 700,000 units of Deer Hunter have been shipped since its release this past September.

Deer Hunter, which debuted on PC Data charts at number eight in its first month on the market, has since continued to rapidly climb the charts. To meet the demand created by Deer Hunter's success, GT Value Products is also introducing Sporting Clays, a new title in their outdoor sporting lineup.

"Our expanding outdoor sporting lineup gives consumers the opportunity to enjoy real-life experiences in an easy-to-play, yet challenging interactive medium," said Chuck Bond, president of GT Interactive Value Products. "We are reaching a market segment that has been previously overlooked and we are committed to creating high quality interactive titles at an affordable price."

In addition to the success of Deer Hunter, conceived by GT Value Products and developed by Sunstorm Interactive, the company maintains its number one position in Budget/Value-priced software (units sold/dollars) for the first two months of the year, according to PC Data. GT Value Products has also held the number one market share in Value software for the past two years.
