Dallas, TX, May 8, 1996 -- Visit the brink of virtual extinction in Tracer, the CD-ROM game of cyberspace strategy developed by Future Endeavors, Inc. of Canada and published by 7th Level, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEVL). Choosing from one of four ambitious hired hackers, the player assumes the role of a techno-thief, who must survive the relentless pursuit of the lethal Tracer virus by plunging to the computer's data core.

The player matches stepping stones of like colors to move through fifty levels of intensifying cyber-mazes filled with corrupted sectors, deep microchasms and malicious seeker viruses. Tracer also includes a free Level Editor, which allows players to create their own innovative levels with totally new-twists and turns. Single and networkable-player options for up to eight opponents are available.

To make the characters' actions as realistic as possible, Future Endeavors employed motion-capture technology, which involved filming human movements and applying the data to each character's movements. The player views the character from a third-person perspective, which can be manipulated for a quick, concise understanding of the playing field.

As the first release of the exclusive publishing deal between 7th level and Future Endeavors, Tracer offers a unique style of strategy-based game play and a real-tie, 3-D texture-mapped environment. It is scheduled to ship in June for Windows 95.

"7th Level is pleased to be affiliated with Future Endeavors in the pursuit of cutting-edge CD-ROM games," said George Grayson, chairman and CEO, 7th Level, Inc. "Tracer represents a strategic decision to move into third-party interactive publishing, which offers both companies distinct advantages over the competition."

"Our association with 7th Level on Tracer and other upcoming titles accelerates the production process and brings our products to market with greater impact than we would have had on our own," said Paul Bodnoff, Future Endeavor's president.
