Big Red Racing Goes Online
With Mplayer, DWANGO, and TEN

July 10th, 1996 - Eidos Interactive, a publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software for the PC, Macintosh, Internet, and next generation gaming platforms, announced today its fast and frantic action racer, Big Red Racing, will be available on Mplayer, DWANGO, and the Total Entertainment Network (TEN) multiplayer gaming services. Domark Software shipped Big Red Racing prior to the merger combining Domark, US Gold and Core Design.

Big Red Racing's game features include two-player split-screen racing and the opportunity to race 16 different vehicles over 24 different tracks. Gamers choose from vehicles such as backhoes, hover craft, and dumptrucks while racing on a wide range of terrain's from around the world to outer space. In addition, Big Red Racing's 3-D graphics engine allows the player to view the action from any angle - including your opponent's front seat and numerous trackside cameras.

"The demand for the two track shareware version of Big Red Racing has been enormous. Now we can give gamers all 24 tracks online," commented Mike McGarvey, Vice President of Sales at Eidos Interactive. "All three services provide excellent multiplayer gaming environments that can entertain gamers for hours," added McGarvey.

Mplayer is a Web-based gaming service created by Mpath Interactive, a company dedicated to developing technologies to enhance social interaction on the Web. Gamers will be able to play fast-action (low-latency) multiplayer games, communicate with their opponents via real-time two-way voice communication, and participate in text-based chat sessions.

DWANGO is an online service dedicated exclusively to multiplayer gaming. DWANGO forms alliances with leading game developers and publishers to offer a variety of the most popular multiplayer games to the consumer in an online environment. DWANGO, headquartered in New York with offices in Houston, has 29 game servers in cities throughout North America, South America and the Far East.

Total Entertainment Network is committed to creating the premier consumer network for game playing consumers on the Internet. TEN has online rights to more than twenty five different games, over half of which are TEN exclusives. TEN was formed in 1995 form the merger of Planet Optigon, Inc. and Outland, Inc.
